Utica Zoo - For over 88 years the Utica Zoo has been collecting and providing a home for animals, only starting with 3 fallow deer. There are now over 200 animals ranging from lions, bears, monkeys, alligators, and hawks with everything in between. Guests from all over and of all ages will enjoy a visit to the Utica Zoo, where they can enjoy meeting many new furry friends. Be sure to get something to eat at one of the concession stands and browse the gift shop for a souvenir. local1

Children's Museum - The Children's Museum is located approximately 15 miles from AOK Campground. Bring in the whole family for a fun filled day at the Children's Museum. There will be plenty to entertain everyone. This is one of the oldest children's museums in the country. Check out the many exhibits of the history and origins of the Mohawk Valley, including the Space Science interactive exhibits. Browse the Museum Shop for neat gifts and souvenirs.
Sylvan Beach Amusement Park - Located on the beautiful shores of Oneida Lake, in Sylvan Beach, New York, Sylvan Beach Amusement Park is just 40 miles from AOK Campground. Enjoy the many rides and games, as well as food concessions. There are approximately 20 rides, including kiddie rides and games including an arcade featuring skeeball, a shooting gallery and many more. Come and enjoy a day at the amusement park, then if you have some time left over, visit Oneida Lake for some recreational activities. local3

Erie Canal Village - This outdoor living history museum is a reconstruction of the 19th century settlement from the original Erie Canal, located about 25 miles from AOK Campground. There are 3 museums, boat cruises, train excursions, Blacksmith demonstrations, guided tours and so much more. The entire family will learn from their experience to the Erie Canal Village. Visit the Erie Canal Village Shop and pick up a souvenir or books to learn more about the settlement, clothes for family back home, and much more.
